About Us
The curator of this website, Dean Lachiusa is one of the founding members of the Tucson, Arizona film community group now known as IFA… Dean and our beloved founding members Jana, Heidi, Rachel, and Rosarie, have turned over the reins to new members. (Hence the name change from AIVF to IFASA…IFA.)
Importantly, our circa 2005 AIVF president and Dean’s filmbuddy Hollywood Film Director Pearry Teo has passed. Now, the remnants of AIVF are to be found in old magazines published by the NY headquarters, called The Independent…
Years later Dean relocated to Detroit and launched the Movies Plus TV-App on Amazon Fire TV. And if you’re in Metro Detroit you may meet Dean at Royal Starr film mixers held in Hazel Park.
